SOUTHERN RESQUE

In 2005 a group of local youth came together to decide the ways and means to improve the living conditions of the people in KULPI Block. Initially they carried out welfare activities contributing their time and energy for EDUCATION CENTER(RABINDRA MUKTA BIDHALAY), free Computer and Mobile Training Institute , Vocational Training Programme ( Tailoring Training Center), IGP ( Garment and Dress making) for vulnerable and dropout girl child , woman and youth Primary Health ( sundarban ), cleaning ponds and offering medical help to the sick people in the locality.

In 2008-09, they formed themselves into organizations titles “SOUTHERN RESQUE” (S.R) and registered the same under the Societies registration act. Over the years S.R has matured into a leading the pioneering organization with Education ,health ,SHGs and Women Empowerment as the major with awareness building for the right of the rural populace.

A self Reliant society, free from the evils of caste, creed, gender discrimination, illiteracy, ill health, property and exploitation where men and women move ahed-in-hand and in perfect harmony will nature. So as to attain higher levels of humaneness and camaraderie.

Mission

To provide meaningful opportunities to the poor and disadvantaged, with particular emphasis on the empowerment of women and other vulnerable sections of the society so as to achieve high level of sustained social and economic development.

We  southern rescue , is a Govt registered social welfare organization (under Societies Registration Act] engages in different  need based community development activities including Youth development Agriculture development disaster management programme, , SHGs and  skill development training programme for the last    years in three different marginalised block under Sundarban Region of South 24 Parganas District,  West Bengal, India. We are well experienced to implementing projects focusing on Women & youth empowerment, Livelihood development, Environment protection, Disaster Management & sustainable Agriculture development in partnership with the different donor agency:

We are interested to implement skill development training programme for the marginalised youth and women   in the backward zone of sundarban region of West Bengal, India , where unemployment is the major issues due to unskilled labour.

We are keen to build professional partnership with your reputed organization to serve the marginalised youth and women in our society.

There is close coordination with the different Government agencies – Education, Police, Health, Telecommunications, Municipal Corporation etc. This partnership will help the organization in working closely with state Government, mainly in the Education field. It is working in partnership with Government, district administration and NGOs in the district towns of West Bengal. Local Influential community leaders, volunteers from community , youth club members, parents of the children , local doctors, , shop owners & vendors are all involved in the programme.

We have 20 ngo networking in south 24 pgs, network with Govt. in west Bengal govt. ( like B.D.O., POLICE STATION, ICDS, PANCHYAT,), network with social worker, network with Health worker in Govt. Hospital and Public nursing home.
